Love it or hate it, this is how I could describe the Sapphire Plus, CoreXY 3D printer by Two Trees. For very affordable price, we get very rigid structure with linear rails on X, Y and Z axis. Printer arrived with few errors, but most of them were solved by firmware update. The printer has several hidden benefits, but to get them, it requires our intervention. Welcome back to Aurora Tech channel, I am super excited today because I am going to unbox, assemble, and review this Two Tree Sapphire Plus CoreXY printer. This is my first CoreXY printer. There are a lot of parts inside the box, it may take a little more time to assemble compared to my other cartesian printer or the box frame Ender-5 Pro, basically, the assembly of this printer is a little similar to the Ender-5 Pro. I have already assembled and then disassembled this printer before recording this video. I have several points you need to address during assembly. There are also some issues you need to fix if you want this printer to work normally and safely. I will cover all of this one by one. I will divide the assembly process into 15 steps. Some will be more difficult than others. There are quite a lot of them, but I would consider them all to be minor issues. I believe some of the other issues are independent cases, since they only apply to the printer I received. In conclusion, although this print has a few quality issues, I think that it still has a good value, the best part is the metal frame is rigid. If we’d just bought a metal frame and 4 unbranded linear rails, it would have cost almost $300 including shipping. This whole printer only cost $375. Although the other parts that came with it are relatively cheap in terms of quality, it’s still worth the price. I would recommend this printer if you are capable of doing some fixes on minor issues and you have some 3d printer spare parts at home. After the issues have been taken care of, this printer still prints pretty well. I can speed up the print speed to 150mm/s with good quality, the frame and the linear rails on this printer are pretty nice, especially the frame since it’s very rigid. I believe it can print even faster IF I upgraded the stock extruder and hotend to better ones. But for beginners, if this is your first printer, I would suggest choosing an Ender-3 V2, CR-6 SE, Ender-5 Pro or Sovol SV01. These printers work so much better out of the box. They don’t require that much work to print nicely. If you are interested in these printers, you can check out my other videos. Since this printer has quite a lot of potential, I am going to make another video and focus on the firmware upgrade. I will compile a Marlin firmware for this printer. The dual Z-Axis and dual Z motors are not synchronized, so I will also show you how to use Marlin’s Auto Z-Axis align feature to get better bed leveling results and improved print quality. Welcome back to Aurora Tech Channel. In this video, I will add some upgrades to the Two Tree Sapphire Plus CoreXY printer. There is a recent change on the price, as the price of this printer is already pretty cheap, I bought it at $375 from banggood and now it’s even cheaper, it’s only $330 on Aliexpress, there is also an version 1.1, the price is $478, which is almost $150 more than this v1.0. It has 3 major upgrades compared to the version 1 in this video. I will also use another 2 TMC2208 stepper drivers to replace the stock A4988 to make it a completely silent printer. I will also configure and compile the latest version of Marlin from scratch and replace the stock firmware. This also applies to other 3D printers, you can pretty much configure marlin for all other printers using the instructions from this video. In my last video, I talked about the many minor issues in this printer. One of them is the auto bed leveling issue. Every time you set the correct Z-offset value, the print is always off. It either prints in the air or crashes into the bed. You need to watch the first layer carefully and adjust the baby steps to make it work properly. After the Marlin firmware was installed, this issue was fixed. I will also show you how to enable the auto Z align feature in Marlin, since sometimes when we remove the print, clean the bed or apply some pressure on one side of the bed for any reason, it will make the lead screws out of sync. If we do auto bed leveling with a tiled bed, it may still work, but obviously, we don’t want that. I tried to add 2 anti-backlash spring nuts, it does help, but if you apply more pressure, it still drops. In this case, we will let Marlin align both sides automatically before each print, this may be the best way to fix this issue. So let’s get started... After all these upgrades and fixes, I would say this printer is printing as well as all my other printers, it also prints faster. With the latest Marlin firmware and the classic LCD style UI, it works flawlessly. It requires quite a lot of work but I am very happy with the result at least for now. In my last video, I used a CNC 3018 to make a plate and an E3D V6 heatsink mount for the Sapphire Plus CoreXY printer. After last week's video, I modified the design a little bit to make it fit better and made it able to attach to some existing components like the BLtouch and the cooling fans. A major drawback of this setup is the height. Since the Volcano is much taller than other hotends, you will lose 15-20mm print volume on the Z-Axis. The lead screw support plate also needs to be removed, so it can provide enough clearance for the volcano hotend. Let’s see how it works when print at 60mm/s, 120mm/s and 240mm/s ... After much research I settled on the Sapphire plus as I was looking for a core XY printer and this printer suited my needs best. It has a large build volume or 310mm x 310mm x 350mm. It has linear rails on all axis' and has dual Z stepper motors. In this vedio I show step by step how I built this machine. Mostruosa! Stampante 3D Sapphire Plus TWO TREES. Recensione completa. Corexy 300 300 350mm. Recensione completa con tante prove di stampa ed attenta analisi dei risultati. E' gigantesca... dotata di ingresso per scheda micro SD e stampa anche tramite USB e wi-fi. Eccezionale, guarda di cosa è capace, grazie alla sua qualità costruttiva. Ha il piatto non autolivellante con un rivestimento adesivo che è possibile sostituire con altri tipi io ho usato anche quello metallico grazie al quale puoi staccare facilmente i pezzi. La struttura è aperta ma èsistono accessori per renderla semi chiusa permettendo una maggiore protezione del piano di stampa e aiuta a mantenre un po' la temperatura costante. Il livellamento è manuale e va eseguito tramite il classico foglio di carta. Ha il Dsplay touch a colori, stampa via cavo dal pc via USB, tramite wifi e tramite scheda SD. So.. I know it has been way too long since my last update. The family have to get some time too and my hand had to feel better before I could do anything. Thankfully a LOT of progress has been made thanks to the Mercury One mod for the Ender 5. As it turns out the frame on the Ender 5 is similar to the Sapphire Plus and therefore this mod actually fits. But not without having to make some minor changes to the stock frame. That I will cover in a later video.

I had a lot of problems with the motion system of the Sapphire Plus; Binding rails when tightened, belt path is wrong and the top is not square. That's why it has been a while since last video. So I have designed a new "top portion" of the sapphire Plus using 2020 extrusions. The last pieces has just arrived today so I will start cutting extrusions and hopefully get to assemble some parts of it this weekend :-) So here you got a little teaser :-)

...уже бесит...отвалить ТРИДЦАТЬ ШТУК за ПРИНТЕР, потом собирать его с напильником и подсовыванием жестяночек, потом танцы с бубном по прошивке того что ОБЯЗАНО РАБОТАТЬ ИЗ КОРОБКИ!!! ...вроде начал работать и снова как из коробки...перешивал его уже десять раз, и тем что продавец прислал, и тем что на его материнку нашёл...вчера он завёлся после того как я его к репетирхосту по USB подключил... потом перестал. продавец ещё один вариант прошивки прислал...заработало...распечатал тест уровня стола, ужаснулся кривизне, выключил принтер...потом включил снова...ОПЯТЬ НЕ РАБОТАЕТ!!! ....у меня блин уже просто нет слов....

Jedyną różnicą jest to, że ta wersja ma sporo większy obszar roboczy, co oczywiście pociągnęło za sobą konieczność powiększenia całej konstrukcji. Mimo tego, producent zdecydował się pozostawić całą elektronikę, kinematykę i ekstruder w niezmienionej formie. Na pokładzie mamy ciche drivery TMC2208, prowadnice liniowe, 32 Bitową elektronikę i ekstruder BMG.
